Default Creating a new character

I know it's recommended to create new characters in either factions or nighfall. But all the cool hair styles and looks are in prophecies. So I was just wondering that is there a way to create a character in prophecies and then somehow get it to level 15, fast, and continue from factions? Powerlevelers are hard to find and they are pretty expensive.

All answers are appreciated,
Stormer

Yes, or you could get to level 10 and go to eye of the north. Make your way to Gunnar's Hold and do some Dwarven Boxing for some fast XP.

Another alternative would be to buy the makeover make from the ingame store, which allows you to mix and match hair styles from every campaign. You would be able to change four other characters since the $10 price tag gets you five regular credits.

Once you leave Pre, you can get a run to LA and then just take the quests to take you to Nightfall or Factions.

Suggest heading to Factions and doing the KC quests and the ones out in Waijun Baazar for fast leveling. Then just go from there.

Thanks for the answers. Yeah I heard that the boxing gives a decent amount of xp. But getting a level 10 character in Prophecies takes as long as two level 20 characters in Factions. And that 10$ is pretty much. :/

Yes but it gives you 5 credits. 5 times for one character if you want, or five characters once, your choice really. Totally worth it IMO.

And prophicies is a slow paced game unlike the rest. It WAS the first in the series so its going to be the most old school one there is.

It's worth it, though, because you can mix & match the various hairstyles, faces, etc. from different campaigns.

Edit: & that was already stated. :P

I'd suggest going to NF first so you get the 5 heroes that you get almost imidiatly at arrival, then go to factions.

Boxing is ofc also a great alternative.

Or you spend irl money on it and start wherever you want.

Definitely go to Factions before Nightfall. The quest to get to Nightfall is a pain, and is much, much easier going from Kaineng than from Lion's Arch.

Or you can start in Nightfall, where the quests only involve walking.

you can get level 10 in under an hour in proph,

you only need to do about 4 things to get out of pre.
then catch a run to LA, get to D'Alessio Seaboard move to empty district gain exp from the first wave of monsters killed in the district switch to another empty district and repeat.

Move to Eotn and box till 20
you can reach level 20 within a few hours this way.

Wait, hold up. You can get to lvl 10 in prophecies in 6 hours or less.

Check out www.presearing.com for the thread on Legendary Defender of Ascalon. That web site is blocked for me here at work but I will give it a go as it were.

1) Make new toon

2) Find trainer for secondary profession

3) Get to lvl 2 - Kill the wolf outside of Ashford Abby. - run up to it and then run back to the gaurd as he will kill it faster with you.

4) At lvl 2 start the quest "Charr at the Gate" - Go outside of Ascalon and run with Prince Rurik to kill the 4 charr at the gate. Map back to ascalon - DO NOT TAKE THE REWARDS. Abandon the quest. Rince and repeat. IF you connection is fast enough simply map out before the 4th charr is killed. This will save time because you do not have to run up and down the stairs.

5) At lvl 8 get in a team and kill the charr in the northlands or leave pre and do the first missions for XP. Both methods take about 2 hours to get to lvl 10

6) Get a run to LA

7) Either do Boxing in Eye of the North or go to Factions from there.

This should only take 2 days at 3-4 hours a day.

I can make a mule from pre to post and have it at lvl 6 in a matter of 3 hours if I get no interruptions. I have gotten a toon from lvl 1 to 10 just doing the charr at the gate but it takes more time to go from lvl 8 - 10 then from 1 - 8

Thanks for the answers again I know that 10$ is THAT much (after playing WoW -.-) but it still hurts a bit. But according to all these comments, it'll take much more planning if I start in Proph since it's the slowest one to level in. Maybe I'll start my toon in Factions.

What does this accomplish? It would give you at the very most 120xp, which you can earn literally anywhere.

It's just a super fast way to get to level 2 w/o quests.

The whole optimization is for hardcore players who want to get LDoA as fast a possible...

they aren't doing quests, so finding the easiest way to kill creatures is best. (Thus the whole Charr at the Gate mess, which I accidently turned in, and had to go hunt Charr beyond the gate...)

But anyway, since the OP isn't going for LDoA, just do all the quests and get out of pre. Then get run to LA, go to Nightfall, and continue to level up there until 10, then either continue Nightfall or go to Eye of the North.

Honestly, I don't know what the hurry is, leveling up is probably one of the more fun things to do in this game.

Why waste up to 6-8 hours when you can take a run to Lion's Arch, do the quests in Factions, and hit level 20 in just four hours or so; or *gasp* go start boxing and hit level 20 in less than two hours.

I get heroes for all my characters as soon as I make them in prophecies. As as been said, just get a run to LA and go from there. I personally don't even bother levelling in Factions and NF. I just get the heroes from Nightfall and go back and continue prophecies from there. It's easy to level and get through with 3 lvl 15 heroes.
